Greek market leader

"Sailboat or catamaran, unmanned and with skipper. You choose and we will make your dream come true," is the motto of Kavas Yachting. With 36 years of experience, the company is one of the leaders in yacht charter in Greece.

Marinas all over Greece

Kavas Yachting's fleet consists of more than 50 quality yachts and catamarans moored in eight marinas located throughout Greece. Most boats can be found in Athens, Lavrion, Lefkada and Kos, but you can also sail from Volos, Keramoti or the islands of Mykonos and Skiathos.

A fleet of sailing boats and catamarans

The yachts offered by the company meet the highest safety standards and at the same time have excellent sailing characteristics. All Kavas Yachting boats are immaculately clean, generously equipped and regularly maintained. You will find here brands of renowned names such as Bali, Benetau, Jeanneau or Lagoon. The most frequently represented models are the four-cabin sailing yacht Oceanis 40.1 and the catamaran Bali 4.1 or 4.2.

For beginners and experienced sailors

Greece has a high number of sunny days and minimal rainfall compared to other sailing destinations. Kavas Yachting specialises in four main areas of this beautiful country. You can sail with them in the Ionian Sea (north and south), where you will find islands that are very different from the others. This is because this region doesn't suffer from a lack of rainfall like the rest of the country, so the islands here are still lush and green, covered in forests. You can enjoy the small distances between islands, the sheltered sea enclosed between the large islands and the plethora of bays and harbours.

The Saronic Gulf also offers great sailing opportunities, with its beautiful sea, ancient monuments and pleasant taverns. And the Cyclades and the Dodecanese are the domain of experienced sailors, where the warm Aegean Sea and stable weather until late autumn await. But be warned, the meltemi winds in this area can really get into your sails.

Tip yachting.com

Are you tempted by sailing in Greece but don't know exactly where to sail to make it worthwhile? The Aegean Sea is the most popular choice for sailors heading to Greece. The main reason for this is its easy accessibility from Athens, but also its mild temperatures, steady, usually predictable winds, absence of tides and strong currents. The many beautiful islands make for a pleasant cruise and, as they are not too far apart, you can visit several in one holiday. Try one of our recommended weekly itineraries from our article Tips for the best week-long cruises in the Aegean.
